Forgiveness

Forgiveness is something that we all have to deal with, in the book of Genesis we read of the story of Joseph and his brothers and how out of jealousy they sold him into slavery in Egypt. And when they had to come to him to get food he could have turned them away, cast them into prison, any number of things because he had the power to do so. But instead, Joseph knew that everything he went through was in the will of God, they meant it for bad but God meant it for good. He was where God wanted him to be, he was put there to help God people survive. He forgave them, with a loud cry, a cry that could be heard throughout the house, a cry like that releases all pain, cleanse the heart of all hurt, it sets free. Just being in the will of God will bring about a change in one’s life that will have some afraid and not understanding the peace of being free from carrying the burden of hate and unforgiveness.
I have known of people that been mad with someone for years and forgotten why; or saying they will never forgive someone for what they did. Never is a long time to harbor hate and unforgiveness in our heart. In some of these cases the other person have forgiven and moved on and that’s what we have to do, pray in the mighty name of Jesus and ask him to ask us to forgive as He have forgiven us. Ask God to remove the hate, envy, jealousy and strife in our hearts, we should be filled with the fruits of the spirit; we will never reached the level of peace if we don’t forgive, let go of everything and anything that keeps us out of the will of God. I have fervently prayed to God for my deliverance from envy, jealousy, hate, and any unforgiveness that may be in my heart. I prayed for those that mistreated me, used me, and lied on me. It’s a joy to not carry that weight around, to be able to smile at others without worry to let go and let God have control. If it’s in God we trust then why we not just trusting in God.
