Luke 9:45 states, And Jesus said, “Who touched me?” When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, who touched me?
We all know the story of the woman with the issue of blood, how she went out and in faith decided that all she needed to do was touch the hem of Jesus garment and she would be made whole. There were unknown amounts of people following Jesus, people all around Him and pressing Him about, all kind of people with all kind of needs and yet not one had enough faith to just touch Him. Again, as I stated before, there were nothing important about his garment, nothing supper natural about it, the power is in Jesus and his glory. When we don’t understand the will of God, we don’t know Him or about His grace and mercy we will be like the rest of the crowd not reaching out to Him. He says, He stands at the door and knock, He will never force Himself on us, we have freewill to open the door and talk with Him or we can ignore the call. We can choose whether He come into our hearts, we can choose whether we want Him as our Lord and Savior, it’s up to us to choose life or death, good or evil, our chose.
Jesus felt virtue go out of Him, Jesus knew who touched him; He knew, but for the crowd sake and his disciples, they needed to really know Jesus and the power within Him. Like us we need to know the power of God, that He is all knowing and all seeing; that He shaped the world into being, he knows every hair on our head, he knows what we are going through; scripture states that His ears is not to heavy that He cannot hear or His arms to short that He cannot reach or heal us. We have to step out on faith; we have to trust and believe that God can do the impossible; that if we call on God he will answer. It’s important that we have a relationship with Him, know Him as a loving Father who cares for His children. He says that my sheep knows my voice and another they will not answer; He know each one of His sheep by name, what a God, we serve a mighty God, a God that is ready to pardon, a God that have engraved us in the palm of His hands. Oh for a closer walk with God, to walk with Him and talk with Him, to depend and lean on His everlasting arms, to be a child of the King. Have you reached out to Him today, have you called on His name, turned your life over to Him; call on Him while He is near, He will hear your humble cry and pity our every groan. Rom. 10:8, “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach”. 9, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved”.
Be blessed, pray always and read the bible daily.
